Neopaque Flowable Extender is the base for both the Lumiere and Neopaque paints. It has a thinner viscosity than the Neopaque colours so that it may be used to thin the Neopaque paints without altering their adhesive properties. The viscosity is similar to the light-bodied Lumiere paints.

Jacquard Flow Extender can be used with Jacquard Neopaque Paints to create a more transparent finish. This won’t alter the texture or consistency of the paint.

Making custom Lumiere colours by adding Pearl Ex Pigments and the Neopaque Flowable Extender is easy. Any Pearl ex colour can be added at 12-20% by weight to Neopaque Flowable Extender and mixed thoroughly to produce a new metallic or pearlescent paint. Pigments with larger pigment particles, such as Sparkling Gold and Macropearl, generally require a higher pigment load than denser and smaller particles, which are more opaque. Standard pigments (such as powdered or dispersed organic and inorganic pigments, glow in the dark pigments, neon pigments, etc.) may also be added to Neopaque extender to create DIY paints of any sort.

Neopaque Flowable Extender may also be added to most acrylic paints to increase durability, flexibility, and adhesion, especially to increase washfastness on fabric.

Neopaque Flowable Extender can also be used as a topcoat over Lumiere, Neopaque, Textile Colour, Airbrush Color, and Dye-Na-Flow paints on leather or fabric as a tough, durable, and protective varnish layer.

Neopaque Flowable Extender can be used as a topcoat over coloured pencil and permanent (non-rewettable) markers to improve image durability on fabric and ensure they hold up to washing.

Neopaque Flowable extender dries clear, is incredibly flexible, and won't ever crack, chip, or flake.
